Route check tonight for the LFNS^tm took us up and down Hampstead Hill - just like Sardinia, except for being cold, dark, on crappy surfaces and with arsey traffic. It's going to take me a while to readjust to skating in London, I can see. 18k plus skating from and back to office - call it 21k for the day, for the sake of argument.

• I have new frames! Thanks to Hans for picking them up from Spalding where he was racing on Sunday. Still haven't fitted them, though.
• I am semi-committed for Berlin half-marathon. That is, I have booked flights and a hostel, but the deadline for online registration for the event itself has passed. It's supposed to be possible to register the day before if it's not full, so I'm just going to hope the event's not oversubscribed before I get to it. Or if it is, at least that I can get my feet cast for custom boots while I'm there anyway. An extended weekend in Berlin doesn't sound like a completely stupid idea however you look at it.
• I am registered for the Blenheim inline challenge (half marathon). It starts at the ungodly hour of 8:30am, so I am also booked into a local B+B for the night before.
• Seriously thinking about joining a gym - what's wrong with me?
